We do more than race—we show that everyone belongs on the team.

The joy of running, reaching the finish and sharing the atmosphere creates lasting experiences for the children, their families and volunteer runners. We enter shorter and inclusive distances in close coordination with each organiser.

The story of our running team

2017

In 2017 we dreamed big: our foundation would have its own running team. The founders first entered a race with their daughter Zsófi in spring 2016 and loved it so much that running became part of the foundation’s life. That year they also raced in Győr and Sokorópátka, initially without a unified team appearance.

After those warm-up races, Anna, Nina and Zsófi completed the Győr–Lipót relay with two volunteer runners and their first team shirts. At the Sárvárfürdő Half Marathon the team received its first award as the best wheelchair relay. By the Christmas Run in Győr, continuing together felt inevitable.

2018

The team grew considerably, with more children and volunteer runners joining and a new shared team shirt. We appeared in television and photo coverage of the Vivicittá, received invitations to races in Rábapatona and Bős, and were welcomed with individual trophies for every child. Tárkány honoured the whole team with a trophy, and in Bük we spoke to local television.

2019

The races continued, accompanied by memorable experiences away from the course. In Bős we travelled by boat and passed through a lock. In Gyula we joined Run for Children with Disabilities and visited the Hundred-Year-Old Confectionery, the castle baths and Mini Hungary in Szarvas. We picnicked after the Bükfürdő race and went on the alpine coaster in Visegrád.

2020

Two new volunteer runners joined us, but the pandemic kept the team away from start lines until late August. In autumn we returned for two events: the Szigetköz Half Marathon in Mosonmagyaróvár and a lap around Tata’s Old Lake—always a special experience for everyone.

2021

The pandemic still shaped the season. We first raced in summer at Répcelak and visited the Nick dam afterwards. September brought the Arrabona Running Festival in Győr, followed by our first race in Sopron, running beneath the Fire Tower over seven kilometres. We ended the year at the charity Santa Run in Börcs.

2022

The racing calendar finally returned. We opened the season in Bősárkány and Tata, then travelled to Bábolna and the traditional Győr–Lipót run. After two years we returned to the warm welcome of Bős and made first appearances in Komárom–Komárno and Kapuvár. Pápa and a festive Santa race in Bős closed the year.

2023

After a harsh Szigetköz Half Marathon, we made our Balatonfüred debut in a stroller race. Heavy rain followed us there, but sunshine arrived for the start and we reached the finish together, weaving around puddles. A charity race through Győr’s Püspök Forest was bumpier—the children laughed as the runners worked hard to push their chairs.

A major dream came true at our first multi-day international running festival in Salzburg. We joined the inclusive race and the 10-kilometre event, receiving huge applause at the finish. After the warm welcomes of Répcelak and Bős, the autumn season took us to Kapuvár, Pápa and Sárvár, where a soak in the warm pools ended the year.

2024

The year began on Holy Saturday at the Run Rabbit race in Nyúl, where Karina and her father joined us for the first time. April brought the Szigetköz Half Marathon and, after five years, a return to Gyula for Run for Children with Disabilities. Beyond the seven-kilometre course, the castle baths, Ferris wheel, historic confectionery and the Almásy and Wenckheim palaces became shared experiences. Kiara and Ádám made their team debuts at Tata.

We started Répcelak in the rain, then joined the final three hours of the Fuss Rábaköz team’s 24-hour relay in Csorna. Autumn took us to Pannonhalma, Kapuvár and Lébény before another international celebration at the Ljubljana Marathon: the inclusive race on Saturday and 10 kilometres on Sunday. We closed the year on 29 December at the Joy Run in Veľký Meder, followed by time in the local thermal pools.
